Packaging design for an unconventional delicacy
Traditional Cretan cuisine meets haute cuisine. Escargots Méditerranées is a company based in Greece, producing snails for the French market.
Since escargots are often associated with fancy dining, our main objective was to maintain an upscale image for a product sold in supermarkets.
Elegance was our main objective. Our visual strategy was to retain a simple yet sophisticated, contemporary design that implies a sense of quality.
From the silvery lids and the cylindrical bottles, to the refined label and serif typefaces the packaging insinuates its exquisite content.
To tie it all together and further accentuate the natural origins of this delicacy, we added a tag with an artisanal feel, hanging on a piece of tied twine.
